Club Nights are held approximately one evening a month, starting at 5:45pm in the fourth and first terms of the school year. Entry is included in your swim registration costs. The Club's timetable for each season is published in advance on the Club Calendar and advertised at the pool. Club Nights are also promoted via facebook and by email to members. At Club Night swimmers are invited to swim events in freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke and butterfly over 25, 50 and 100 metres. Skills events and fun races and relays are also held. In order to qualify for 50 metre events swimmers must achieve the club’s 25 metre standard.Throughout the season there are various trophy swims where eligible swimmers have a chance to get their names on a club trophy!A canteen operates on Club Nights providing food and drinks at reasonable prices. At the end of each season the club hosts a presentation event to award trophies to swimmers based on participation and improvement over the course of the season.Club Nights can only run with the help of volunteers. Volunteering roles include canteen helpers, time keepers, referees, starters, marshals and time recorders. Volunteering is not scary, there will always be an experienced official to support you and it can be a great way to get to know more about competitive swimming and meet new people. If you are interesting in lending your support, please email our secretary or speak to one of our volunteers on Club Night.
