** will change with the new system in 2019 **

In line with Swimming Queensland (SQ) regulations, swimmers need to be officially registered annually with SQ as a Malanda Swimming Club swimmer to be able to compete at Club Nights or external carnivals. Being enrolled in swimming classes or squads does not automatically make you a member of the club.

To become a NEW MEMBER online go to SWIMMING QUEENSLAND. Go to the Join Now button at the top of that page when it opens and complete your enrolment online.

Do not use this facility if you have ever been a member of a swimming club previously. If you do use this facility please contact the club to let us know so that we can approve your membership. If the pool is not currently open please send an email to swimmalanda@gmail.com before signing up and incurring unnecessary charges.

RETURNING MEMBERS - Renew your membership online using the email you were sent from the club registrar.

If wanting to add or remove family members to your online registration renewal please contact the club registrar before processing and paying for the registration online.

Fees

Membership fees include a Club fee, FNQ Regional Swimming fee, Swimming Queensland fee, Swimming Australia fee and insurance.  New Club members will also receive a complimentary swim cap.

There are 3 levels of membership fees and the fee covers the season from 1 July to 30 June of the following year.

Junior Dolphin club membership is free. In order to be eligible the swimmer must be 7 years of age or less when joining for that swim season. Junior Dolphin swimmers are eligible to swim at both club nights and at external swimming carnivals where they need only pay that carnivals entry fee per swim.

Swimmers who are 8 years of age at the start of the new season ie 1 July pay half fees.

Swimmers' who are 9 years or older are full fee paying. Fees cover the cost of participating in all club events, such as club nights and trophy swims, in addition to all qualifiying carnivals held throughout the season by other swimming clubs. The only additional fee is the entry fee per event set by the hosting carnival swim club. Competitive Swimmers who gain the set qualifying times throughout the season may then be eligible to participate at State level.
